The Medium, and Double Kick Heroes

The Medium, and Double Kick Heroes

As we enter in the month of March and with new games coming out, we got a chance here in our remote offices to test out two great games for the consoles.  The first game that we covered was the paranormal horror, thriller, The Medium.  In this game you play as a Medium and must go to an abandon hotel to investigate what happen here and why souls are trapped.  In the second game that we had a chance to review was Double Kick Heroes.  This is a unique rhythm-based shooter where you and your band are on the highway fighting demons using the power of heavy metal.

When it comes to horror games, there are some elements that are necessary to make the game a hit.  A good story is first, some jump scares and as we are talking about scares, you need to have evil bad guys that will scare you and make you think twice before doing anything.  Well in The Medium this game gives you all these things.  One of the unique aspects of this game is that the main character Marianne can go into the paranormal world as well the normal world at the same time.  This creates an interesting way to solve puzzles and explore the world.  The creators of the Silent Hill Series help create this masterpiece and for those that are gaming on the Xbox One Series X as it is an exclusive, this is available for download.  A game that is great for those in your gaming family that love horror games.  Be sure to check out our review here and watch some gameplay footage below of The Medium. Also at time of writing this blog, The Medium is available on the Xbox Game Pass to play for gamers on the Xbox One Series X, and PC only.

The early to late 2000’s was all about music games, like the Guitar Hero and Rock Band series where you beat match to some of your favorite songs as you try to rank up a high score.  Hearing your favorite song playing while gaming is still to this day a great way to game.  Well in Double Kick Heroes it is a mix bag of beat matching while firing your weapon from your car with your rock band in it fighting off enemies on the highway.  With easy controls, both fun for beginners and advance gamer this is a great game for music fans out there, trust us this is really a fun game. Also, for those that love heavy metal music and just overall fun shooters this is a game to have in your digital library.  For those that own a Nintendo Switch this is a great game to play on the go.  Be sure to read our review here and watch some gameplay video of Double Kick Heroes below to get an idea why this is a great game.

As always be sure to check your console digital store for both The Medium (Xbox One Series X/S, PC) and Double Kick Heroes (Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, PC) both games are available now.  Be sure to download these games and give it a try!
