Another great week for gaming and this week we had two great games that since we downloaded that we are not able to put down! The first game on our list is from the hit BBC television series, Peaky Blinders. Peaky Blinders: Mastermind is a time bending puzzle game that takes the characters from the hit series and you play out a story thats takes place before the first episode of the series where a mysterious figure is trying to stop the Shelby family. Another game that was a fantastic shooter that we had a chance to review this week was Xeno Crisis. A great top-down shooter that is a true throwback of 90’s style of arcade shooters that looks and feels like if Contra and Super Smash TV had a child and this was the product of that!
When we were told that the game was being built around the Peaky Blinders series we here at the office lost our mind. Almost everyone here loves the show, and what’s there not to love? The acting, story, setting and other aspects that make this hit series such a huge hit for BBC. So when we got our hand on Peaky Blinders: Mastermind we were a little surprised that the game was not a bare knuckle brawler but more of an time puzzle game. Now before you dismiss this direction that the developer went into fo the game, don’t. The game is a very solid and fun game for both fans of the series and even general gamers that are looking for a fun, time puzzle game for their digital library. As with many shooter in the market, they have a special place in the hearts of many gamers, and this great shooter is no different. Xeno Crisis is a great shooter that takes what was fun with shooters in the first place. With a top down view, co-op play and just overall fun, this is a great shooter to have for anyone in your gaming family or yourself to have in your digital library. The game has lots to offer from a great upgrade tree, to fantastic boss battles and did we mention local co-op play! For those that love a old school couch co-op you will love Xeno Crisis.
