Another great week of gaming and this week was such a treat to review two great games. Aircraft Evolution, a great side scroller shooter where you take on over 40 levels of war from world war 1 to the modern era of military. Carrion is a game where you play as the bad guy, meaning as a bio mutated experiment that went all bad. In this Metroidvania style of action/adventure game you as the monster must escape from the lab and find your freedom.
Shooter in the digital market for consoles are a dime and dozen, and we have said this many times as we have reviewed countless shooters here at Family Gamer Review, so when Aircraft Evolution came across our desk we had our doubts, well at first, but when we got to actually got a chance to play the game, we saw where this game shines. With over 40 levels of gameplay, four different eras of war, the ability to upgrade your fighter, weapons, and bombs there is a lot to this game to play. Gameplay is simple, drop bombs on enemy targets and shoot down aircraft. Trust us when we say that this is a fun and simple game that it really is. Ever wanted to be the bad guy? Let alone an unstoppable monster that just runs havoc onto helpless humans in an underground lab? Well if you answered yes to either or both questions then Carrion is the game for you! In this action/adventure Metroidvania inspired game you play as a bio organism that got loose and now you must find other parts of you that the scientist sampled of you, grow in your ability and escape the underground lab. Carrion is all about trying to escape and grow in your abilities. Those that love the Metroid style of 2D gaming will love this game, also as you are the monster the computer human AI is not stupid at all, they will hunt you down. Image playing as the Alien from the Aliens franchise and this is what Carrion gameplay feels like. A game that you should not miss.
