Serial Cleaner

As the game is rated M – For Mature, our game testers that tested the game are 16 and older

Become a cleaner to anyone that needs one in this 70’s style 2D action style game where you claim bodies and clean up crime scenes for the mob and everyone else.

General Gameplay

The game is a 2D top down style in which you go from crime scene to crime scene to pick up the bodies, evidence and clean up blood and any other incriminating items for clients.  The game is a stealth game where you must avoid cops and other people at the crime scenes to get everything done in your objectives.  The Game Visuals are in a detailed polygon style where the graphics and backgrounds are easily seen on the screen.  All of the graphics are very 70’s in its style and presentation where it makes the look and feel like an animated movie.  If anything, the game feels like a Quinten Tarantino movie in its presentation.  The game is very details in colors being very vivid and sharp to see.  Lots of brown, reds green and earthy colors that represent the game.  The game does not offer a colorblind mode, however it is not needed for the game.  In our playtesting, outside of blood, some violence that is shown in the game, there is nothing offensive for gamers to see that are 14 and older.  Audio in Serial Cleaner is very clear and easy to hear.  The game background music fits the levels that you are on and the overall feels right for a game like this.  Sound effects in the game are also very clean and easy to hear.  The game does have some spoken dialog and there is some mild language that is heard in the dialog.  Serial Cleaner is in 5.1 surround sound and 2.0 stereo sound, where the game sounds great in both environments.  In our playtesting, outside of language, there was nothing offensive for gamers under 16 to hear.  Controls for Serial Cleaner are very tight and easy to use.  The game uses the left thumb stick to move your character, a button for actions in the game, another button to do overall seeing of the level to see where the items for you are to get and avoid police officers in the level.  In games where that are stealth based, having very responsive controls are very critical and Serial Cleaner does a great job with this.  As the game does not need a special controller, the standard controller is fine to use to play the game.

“With great stealth mechanics, game play and overs 70’s feel, Serial Cleaner is a great game for any stealth fans”

Family Friendly

As the game is rated M – For Mature, Serial Cleaner does not outside of the blood and dead bodies in the game have much violence in the game.  The game is a fun, stealth based game that when we first started to play really played well.  Any fans of the Assassin Creed or Splinter Cell series will really enjoy the game.   Lots of the features of the game work well, when you get detected, you have several seconds to hide from the police, so you do not fail the game.  As with any stealth game you have to plan out your strategy on how you will go through the level.  An interesting but great aspect of the game is that if you fail the level, the respawn level will have the bodies and items in different places.  This give more dynamic gameplay as you must adjust your gameplay.  Overall gameplay is challenging but not frustrating, where it meets at a healthy middle for the game difficulty.  In our playtesting, none of our gamers got frustrated or felt that the game was to difficult to play.  A cool aspect of the game is cleaning up the crime scene, so not only do you have to get the bodies out of the area but also clean up the crime scene and get evidence off the area, this adds more dynamic to the gameplay.  This makes Serial Cleaner a fun game for any stealth fans out there as careful planning is the key to beating the level.  Another great aspect is that they use a lot of 70’s pop references in the game story to make it feel that you really in a 70’s movie.  One of the talks about Serial Cleaner with a M rating. now our personal feeling is that with the level of violence in the game that we feel that anyone over the age of 13 can play and enjoy the game.  Again, we recommend parents/guardians to play and watch gameplay footage and make the best choice for your digital library.   In our special needs game testing, outside of the M – For Mature rating, we did not have any issues with the game graphics, audio or controls.  Serial Cleaner is very special needs gaming friendly.

Closing

If you are a fan of 70’s, stealth games and overall great gameplay, Serial Cleaner is a great game for your digital library.  Even though the M rating may be not great for all ages but still a solid game for fans of stealth games.
