Start mayhem when aliens start to attack your city.  Run outside with gun in hand, attacking banks, other citizens and aliens in this simple and fun twin stick shooter.

General Gameplay

State of Anarchy: Master of Mayhem is a 2D, twin-stick shooter where you go from bank to bank, fighting enemies, boss and go into space and fight aliens both on alien world and space.  The Game Visuals are very basic, like a child drawing, but don’t let this fool you.  The graphics are very sharp in the game.  From enemies, to background, all the game’s graphics are very child drawing style.  With more lighter colors used for the game, State of Anarchy: Master of Mayhem is very easy to see on the screen.  The game does not support a colorblind mode; however, it is not needed as the colors are very easy to see.  In our playtesting, we did not see anything that would be offensive to younger gamers.  Audio for State of Anarchy: Master of Mayhem is very rock style of music in the background.  As the game in game music fits the style of action on screen, it is still a great music for the game.  The sound effects of the game from the gunshots and character speaking are very childlike, with the pew-pew of the guns firing to how other characters fire their weapons.  It is like if a child themselves was doing the sound effects and it was part of the game.  As the game does have some spoken dialog, there was nothing offensive for younger gamers to hear.  If anything, the spoken dialog is very rare in the game.  The game is presented in 5.1 surround sound and sounds great in a surround sound environment or even in a stereo headphone.  The Controls for State of Anarchy: Master of Mayhem are very easy to play.  As the game is a twin-stick shooter, the controller is set up where the left thumb stick for movement, right thumb stick for aiming and shooting, the left shoulder button for your special weapon, and the main button is used to get in and out of your car.  In our playtesting, we did not run into any issues with the game controller setup and found it to be very easy for everyone to play the game.

“Simple, Basic and Fun, State of Anarchy: Master of Mayhem is a fun and great shooter to have for any shooter fans out there.”

Family Friendly

This is a fun game, there we said it, but here are the reasons why this is such a fun game.  The gameplay is basic, but still rich enough to keep you and your gaming family engage throughout the game.  The weapons in the game are very diverse and fun to use.  The gameplay is very easy, run, gun, and survive to a boss level, or to the next level.  The sound effects are very fun to hear as it is like children playing war and making the gunshots and the graphics are very basic but still fun to watch in motion.  The game is very easy to play, and the controls are easy to get used to.  The game is rated E10 – Everyone 10 and up, however we feel that the game should have received an E – For Everyone rating as the game level of violence is very minimum and if anything is more like the cartoon violence that you would see in a cartoon vs in more violent video games.  For shooter fans in your gaming family, they will really enjoy this game a lot.  The only complain that we have is that some levels can get hard and hectic on screen and at times the levels can get way too long to finish.  Outside of this, State of Anarchy: Master of Mayhem is a great game for your digital library.  In our special needs game testing, we did not see anything with the game visuals, audio, or even the game controls.  State of Anarchy: Master of Mayhem is very special needs gaming friendly.
