General Gameplay
This is a great collection from the Switch Force! Collection which includes the original Mighty Switch Force, Mighty Switch Force! 2, Mighty Switch Force! Hyper Drive Edition, and Mighty Switch Force! Academy. The game is all about catching the escaped enemies, while using the siren helmet to switch blocks to get to the areas to catch them. Also, the game has it where you can speed run and see how fast you can beat the level. The Game Visuals are very animated and easily seen. All of the characters and enemies are well drawn and easily seen on screen and the backgrounds are very animated. Colors are easy to see and tell what color what in the game is. As the game is rated E10 the characters are drawn in a Japan anime style where some of the characters are in bikinis and minimum clothing, no nudity but more scantly dressed. In our playtesting, we did not see anything outside of the girls clothing that would be offensive to younger gamers. Audio for the Mighty Switch Force! Collection is very upbeat and fun to hear. All of the levels have very upbeat background music that fits really well for the game, and the sound effects are also outstanding. From the fire of the pellet gun, to the enemy’s banter, even the game announcer is all done well and easily heard in game. The game supports surround sound and 2.0 stereo sound as well. As the game has spoken dialog, there is no offensive language that is heard in the game. In our playtesting, we did not hear anything offensive to younger game ears. The game audio are very family friendly. Controls are very easy for the Mighty Switch Force! Collection. As the game is a collection of 4 different games, the controls are the same across the board. There left thumb stick controls the character, where there is a jump button, a weapon button and another button used to change the platforms. Controls are very user friendly for both veterans of the series as well newcomers to pick up and play the game. In our playtest, we did not have any issues with the game standard controller setting on any of the 4 games. As the game is on the console there is no need for a special controller to play the game.

Family Friendly
During our playtesting, a lot of our older gamers did not play the series when it was on other consoles so playing the Mighty Switch Force! Collection so when we received a review code this was a treat for all to try out. What makes this series a great series is the simple but fun gameplay style. The premise is simple, platform to get to the escaped criminals to recapture them, use interesting but fun platforming and puzzle solving to get to the goal and try to beat the level as fast as you can. The game is not to hard in challenge but more of better understanding how the puzzle mechanics works in the game. When to switch and not to, how enemies don’t need to be defeated but used to get obstacles out of your way or to switch on doors or platforms. In the end it is all about how well you do platforming and puzzle solving. The game offers both co-op and 4-player gameplay so it is a great game for siblings or parents/older children to play. Overall Mighty Switch Force! Collection is a fun game for those that love puzzle/platform games. Now with the game being E10, as the game characters can be a little sexual with their clothing design, parents/guardians may want to watch videos of gameplay or even try the game themselves to see if the game is appropriate for gamers under the age of 10. In our special needs game testing, we did not encounter any issues with the game graphics, audio or controller settings, the game is very special needs gaming friendly.

The Mighty Switch Force! Collection is a great series for any puzzle/platformer gamers or for the fans of the series, with over 4 different games in the collection and over 70 levels of gameplay, this is a great collection for your digital library.
