Stealth Inc. 2: A Game of Clones

In Stealth 2 Inc. A Game of Clones you play as a clone that must use your brains as well have quick reflexes to get through the puzzles and level traps that block you and to stay alive.

General Gameplay

Stealth Inc. 2 at its general gameplay is a platform/puzzle game in which you must figure out the environmental puzzles also use platforming skills to solve the puzzles in each testing area to continue through.  The game has different sections and around 60 levels to go through as well user generated levels that you can download, play and review. The Game Visuals for Stealth 2 Inc. are done very clear and easy to see both game character and objects in the game.  The game graphics have been able to be seen clearly and the game does a great job doing this.  The game does used a darker set of colors as it is about a lab at night and as the colors are darker we did not run into any issues with colors being seen in the game.  The game does not support a colorblind mode; however, it does not need one as the game graphics can be seen. There is some violence in the game with the death scenes (more on this in our Family Friendly section of our review) and some other visual issues that came up in our play testing, but these things were minor, and we will go further into this later in our review.  The Audio for Stealth Inc. 2 is clear to hear the action that is going on as well background music that is also playing.  The game is designed around how the environment, objects and the character interact, so the game audio does a great job of letting the player know what’s going on always.  The background music is very least, it is there but most of us did not even notice it when play testing the game.  As the game does not have any spoken dialog, there is nothing offensive in the game audio for any younger gamers to hear.  The game is in 5.1 surround sound but can be easily be heard through the SMART TV speakers or even a gaming headset.   Controls for Stealth Inc. 2: A Game of Clones designed to be fast inputs from the player to perform the platforming in the game.  The left thumb stick controls the character, where there is a jump button, ducking, and to use items in the game.  As the controls are more platformer in its design it gets the job done, however for some of our gaming family during testing, they had some trouble inputting some of the commands (we will cover this also in our Family Friendly section) however this also was a minor issue in the game.  As the game does not need a special controller, you should be ok using the default controller for the console.

“Stealth Inc. 2 is a decent stealth puzzle/platformer game, however with harder control set, and some harder levels, this is more for the hardcore gamers only”

Family Friendly

As with any stealth games controls are important, as with any platformer games the controls also are very important.  This is where Stealth Inc. 2 gets it right and wrong.  In our play testing the stealth portions of the game the controls work very well and the game is very enjoyable, where in the platforming the game controls work, but when in use of certain items and higher jumping section this is where it can get harder for gamers to use.  One of the concerns is that because the game is a marriage of both stealth/puzzle/platforming that the controls must work well with all elements, and this is where for newer gamers may not be able to control the game.  Now does that mean that the game is a bad game? No, however for gamers that are not used to all the elements listed then they may not have an enjoyable experience in the game.  Another concern is that the way that the main character dies in the game.  The game has shown some violent deaths in the game from getting crushed, to shot, and other ways so parents/guardians please use caution when allowing younger gamers playing the game.  Stealth Inc. 2 is a decent game but honestly it is more aimed to more hardcore gamers that are puzzle/platforming fans.  So, if you have a hardcore platformer fan or even a puzzle fan that can be comfortable with platforming styles of controls, they will enjoy the game, but if you are new to platformer games or even not good at platform games best to either rent the game or try the demo.  In our special needs game testing, other than the violence in the game, and the harder platformer controls, we did not run into any issues with the game, and if anything, some of our special needs gamers really enjoyed the game.  So again, unless your gamer in your gaming family is a fan of either platforming, or puzzles game, best to rent the game to try it out.

Closing

Stealth Inc. 2: A Game of Clones is a decent game but a hardcore game for hardcore fans of the series, if you or someone in your gaming family are new to the series, best to rent the game first to see if this is a good fit for your digital library.
